Family Reunion 2008

These are some of the pictures that I took at the reunion. It's too bad we didn't get a picture of the Luz family or the grandparents. Oh well!
That little annoying boy got into the grandkids picture. Hope you don't mind. I'm sure the kids will be thrilled. I can't wait until next reunion! By than Sam and Hannah will be running around.
Sariah wanted to stay up for s'mores, but I guess she was more tired than she thought!

Grandkids on the slide

Here's a picture of the grandkids at family reunion. I'll post more pictures later. Nettie, we should get some pictures of your kids and photo shop them all in there! hehe

Tracker's Halibut Debut

Thought I'd put in this awesome pic of Tracker. Travis took some guys out on a "trophy trip" to catch some big halibut. Sometimes it happens, sometimes not. But this time it did, big time. He caught a 196 lb, 100lb, and 70 lb. That's a pretty good day of fishing! Needless to say, Travis was happy. :) Oh, the one to the right is Travis' tourist special. He does that pose for all his clients apparantly. Cute, huh? Travis claimed the family photo as our Christmas pic for this year. Haha!

My sister's wedding

I went to my sister's wedding in North Carolina recently, and it was great. I haven't seen most of my family for five years, and it was good to be together. This is a picture of the nieces and nephews that were there. Yep, I have as many kids as all my sisters put together, and in three more months I'll have more. We'll see how long we can keep that up! Those two handsome boys are Joey and Nathan, and they are the perfect form of birth control for my sister! They have more energy between the two of them than all of Mary and my kids combined. I'm not kidding either, but they were fun to be with anyway!
Here is one of my sisters and I from oldest to youngest.
Grandma and Grandpa Ely got to see Elizabeth for the first time. Hooray! I'm sad the rest of the kids and Jacob weren't there. They were the only ones missing.

Joe, his daughter Kaylin, Krystal, me and Lizzy resting at Ali's after the wedding.

My new brother-in-law Toufik and Ali. He's a nice guy I like him. He's already learned to say I'm his favorite sister-in-law. Doesn't get any better! (yes, I have my favorite mother-in-law to thank for teaching me that. hehe)

It was a great weekend even though it was so stinking hot. I forget just how bad humidity can really be. I had to drive a stick which I haven't done in about six years, but I managed to not kill anyone, so I think it went well. I miss my family, but I was so happy to be home in my own bed after five days of being somewhere else without Jacob and the kids. Not to mention that I slept with Elizabeth in bed beside me for three of those nights. I had no idea she moved around so much. She's worse than Rebekah! I had bruises after the first night, and I think she smacked me in the face at least once every half hour. It made for good sleeping. Note to those of you considering co-sleeping: get a king-size bed. It is worth every penny spent if you happen to have small children in bed with you!

Sealife Center, Seward Alaska

Hello everyone! Today was an exciting day. Admission was free to go to the Sealife Center in Seward. So Nikiesha, a friend of mine & I drove 2 hours with our children to see all the beautiful sealife in Alaska. We had a lot of fun and enjoyed watching the fishies and harbor seals. We made it through the day with no major mishaps, or missing children. Wonderful! Then we headed over to this way cool park and had a picnic w/a great view. So much fun! Oh, and I have to add in this pic of the mountain I would like to run next year on the fourth of July. I'll need someone to watch the kids for me while I run, though... (*hint hint*) Volunteers, anyone??
