Eliza's B-day

Ever since Eliza's 4th b-day we had been planning a trip to Disneyland for her 5th b-day which has become a lowell tradition. As we got closer to ther birthday however it became clear that financially such a trip would not be possible. I was dreading telling everyone and finally I told Gary, "We need to tell them, we are being dishonest." Gary told Eliza and her reaction was to think about it for a minute and say, "We could just do bumper cars." I started tearing up at her brave reaction. I realized family time at the local fun place with rides was just as special to her and much more practical for our family. Also she requested going to the library. It ended up being a very fun -filled day. Here is a happy b-day video and "bumper cars" which is just a small roller coaster ride, but that is what Eliza calls it.
