Parley Loses His First Tooth!

It seems like we've been waiting forever but Parley finally lost his first tooth. This morning he noticed it was wiggly and he got it out by this evening (6/26/09). He is holding a cool box Gramma Jody gave us back before Emma lost any teeth. It has a compartment for the tooth and aa little slot for money to go in and it glows in the dark! He went to bed early because he was so excited. Hopefully the tooth Fairy will remember to come!

Gramma and Grampa's road trip

We're so excited to see Grampa and Gramma! The crazy Little Holts have bought a car from California and are having Gramma and Grampa bring it out to them. We're bringing them out for the weekend and then flying them home again. Thankfully we have parents that are crazy enough to go along with our impulsiveness! I made a map this morning so the kids can follow along with them for the next few days. Jacob decided we needed to name our car, and we've spent the last few days coming up with names. We finally let each of the kids pick the name they like and Grampa and Gramma will announce the winner when they get here. Joseph is trying to say the names are Nautilus, Pegasus or Unico. We love you Gramma and Grampa and can't wait to see you again!

Summer days

It's good and hot here now. The temperature for the last week has been above 100 almost every day, and the kids are starting to feel it. They start asking for the popsicles by 9 am. Aren't you all jealous? Silly Joseph loves to wear either long sleeves or long pants or sweatpants. Crazy boy! I tell him how hot it's going to be, but that's what he insists on.

This is the most awesome slip and slide at our neighbors house. The kids have a blast on it. The first time Jacob went down he flew all the way over the construction fencing at the bottom when he tried to stop and cut up his arm. The neighbors also have one of those huge blowup waterslides that they get out every few days.

Vilate's B-day

Vilate, is a big 3 year old. Emma came home with this huge Costco cupcake the other day. Which looked like their chocolate muffins but with chocolate frosting on top. We bought a flat of 20 in place of a cake. They were so good but boy were they a mess!

Our new summer hobby. The kids really like it a lot. Joseph and Lizzie fight over who gets to sit in the seat rather than the trailer. Simeon often falls asleep in the trailer before we get home. We ride about two miles a few times a week. It's been fun for the kids and us, and we get to visit different parks when we go out, so it's doubly fun!

The kids like exercising, and Sariah is pretty good at doing a lot of them.

I'm so excited that Mary added something to the funny things the kids do thingy on the side bar! I was hoping that someone else would add something to it. Yea for Mary! You rock! By the way, Jacob and I thought the story was really funny.

Our Day at the Zoo.

We went to the San Diego Zoo yesterday (6 June 2009) and saw the following sights. We were there with the company I work for (SAIC). This is the third year in a row that we've had a special SAIC Party at the zoo.

The following is a marble sculpture that was kind of hidden off in a little alcove. It was donated to the Zoo and is called something like "A rest on the Flight into Egypt".
