Yes we are out Geocaching. This is Dad's knew love. It combines treasure hunting, excersize and using his PHONE GPS. We have each been out with dad separately geocaching and each time it was NOT dad who found the cach. This is a monumental picture cause dad actually found this cach. You kids with GPS capability on your phones ought to give it a try your kids would love it. Be sure and take along a pen to sign the log and a item to exchange for something in the cach. We decided it would also be good to take bags to pick up trash also. Send pictures of your 'geocach treasure hunt'

Simi Series

Simeon is in serious need of a haircut, so on Sunday I slicked his hair into a mohawk just for fun to distract him while we were in the kitchen. He has such wavy hair that it won't stay up. It just all curls up in a tube.

Not happy with Mommy at all...

No, Gekah! (He didn't want her to "cheese" with him)

Wait, what's this?

YAY! Life is good, I have my boots!

He loves all his shoes, but most especially his boots.
How I love this boy!

Samuel with a camera!

There are a lot more where these came from. I was sitting on the bed with Samuel and Matthew. Samuel had the camera, and some how firgured out how to turn it on. So I thought nows as good time as ever to teach him how to use it. He took this picture of me and Matthew and several others that pointed more towards the ceiling.
Samuel eating dinner with me and matt, than he quietly excused himself and went upstairs. when I got upstairs sam had the camera, and sitting in the room with Carlos taking radom pictures. Wow I have a little photographer. I guess this means it's time to put the camera higher!
There were around 20 like this. Samuel looking out the window, taking pictures of one of the nighbors playing with his dog.
this one of the pictures where he aimed to high, but it made the picture turn out pretty good.(this is the same view as the picture above)

Mushrooms Anyone?

So, Jacob & Tiff, we don't have much for gross disgusting insects, but we have quite a few poisonous things. It came to my realization as I looked around our lawn & couldn't hardly walk from one end to the other without the chance of stepping on a mushroom. Now some of them aren't poisonous, and most of the ones that are, are not fatal. But they make you feel terrible if ingested. So I'm constantly telling my boys to not touch them, but they can't seem to resist stepping on them, shoes or not.

But here is a rubarb stalk with leaf. The leaf is poisonous!! So my boys are informed of that. The stalk is the harvested part that we put in pies or jams. It's very tart.

And here starts the mushrooms. This is the biggest one I found. Travis was very curious one year and bought a few books on what the different kinds of mushrooms are. Some of the good ones that are edible have a poisonous look alike, that you need a well seasoned "mushroomist" to help you figure out if it's the right one or not. So Travis decided not to eat any mushrooms he finds.
We also happen to have the ONLY poisonous berry that I know of called Baynes berry in our yard. Wonderful, huh? The boys also know this is poisonous and not to eat it.

These ones have little spikes! Or they're dying, not sure.

I believe this is a fatal mushroom if ingested. And it's also in our yard. Ya, great!! Actually all of these mushrooms are in our yard. It's really pretty though. Sycadellic.

Huge.

This one looked like a heart, it's pink too. Unfortunately the prettier they are, the more poisonous.
