Birthday Cake

I forgot to add the important picture. The cake!
He's a cuty!

Wow, I just realized there's an edit pencil thingy. Sorry, I'm still learning.

Tustin's 2nd Birthday

Well, Tustin turned 2 last week. We actually didn't get him any presents, his grandparents took care of that!!

This is happy daddy & birthday boy looking at the yummy ice cream cake. Literally, ice cream, because I had no flour or cake mix in the house. It had 2 layers of ice cream with chocolate kisses pressed in it. And the layers were held together by frosting. Mmmm, that sounds sugarfied!!!

That's what's been going on at our house!! Love you all! Nettie & Travis

Portraits of the girls

I have a friend here that is a professional photographer, and as a gift to me since we are moving and she is sad about it, she did a photography session with the kids today at her house. She is so awesome, and she sent me two already. How cool is it that a photographer will let you post pictures on the web that she took? It's too bad that she doesn't live in California. She could take an awesome family portrait next time we are all together. Oh well. It was nice to take pictures with her for the little ones and get lots of pictures (and I do mean LOTS) of all the kids smiling. How often does that happen at JC Pennies or Target and Walmart? Let's see....next to never! Well, here are the two that she sent me. I love the one of Elizabeth. She has such big eyes. Kind of reminds me of Lucy with her big blue eyes.

New Blog

I have started a new blog. The purpose is not to upstage this one but to serve as a community for anyone (no just our family) who wants to discuss healthy diet and weight. And to allow me to tell my weight loss and maintenance story. Pass it on to your friends.

Its called Friends Losing Weight Together.

By the way, it looks like Rachel's Baby countdown is counting up.

I'm a boy

This is me; a boy. My name is Ezra.
Right now I am going to school to get my general education out of the way so that I can go on to the courses that I need at the school that offers the classes that I need to take to be a librarian. It is pretty fun at school right now. I am taking 17 units English, Spanish, Anthropology, and History. I am working hard to do all these classes and I am still full time at Wal Mart. The people aren't all that nice there, well the works yes the customers not so much. I have gotten known as the person who is willing do pretty much anything and will go to the registers that others don't like, the reason for this is because it takes me away from the registers and that is a nice change and the registers that people don't like are the ones that you don't have to deal with customers much.
I am working of fafsa which is a government thing that gives money to people who make under a certain amount for school. An added reason why I am tryingto get fafsa is because I went to talk to the people who work as Librarians at Grossmont College to see if I could work there and they said to enable me to work there I have to qualify for fafsa and then I can get in. This would be very great because it would get me experience in my chosen field so that I can work a library and also I would not have to work at Wal Mart. Well your nose smells. good bye

Lowell Update

Eliza turned 3 on Feb. 5th. Gary made her cake. It had Hershey's Syrup and whip cream in the middle with whip cream and M&m's on top. Yum!! She wouldn't blow out the candles so here is Gary helping her.

The kids all got up on Emma's bunk and it made for a cute picture.

We had a warm streak for a couple of days this month so I got out the dresses I had bought the girls for the summer. Gary was the photographer.

LIfe is good with us. Just waiting for baby Hannah!

Temple Pictures

The kids had a fun time at the Dallas temple last week. They really loved the fountain that is out front. It was very pretty even though most of the trees have no leaves right now. They have those purple cabbage things in the flower beds right now, and Joseph kept walking into the beds so he could get a better look at them.

So, no luck yet on Jacob finding a job. We'll probably be seeing most of you in a few weeks. Life sure isn't working out the way we planned for this coming year. Oh well. We'll get to see Baby Samuel though! (And Hannah...love that name Mary!)

Travy's First Solo, Tustin's Mess!

Hello everyone! I just downloaded some pictures off my camra to the computer so I thought I'd share a few with you. This is Travis getting ready to do his first flight all by his itty bitty self. He's said a prayer, checked all the important things he's supposed to check before a flight. Here's another of him making a 'touch & go.' Meaning he comes down from the sky to the strip touches the ground and goes right back up again.

Now this one is of cute little Tustin trying to scavange for food in the fridge, which he really isn't supposed to be doing. I had a jar of my favorite salad dressing sitting on the shelf without a lid on it. So, as you can see he grabbed the thing it was set on and 'kerplop!' Cute kid, huh? And he's just wearing a hat because he likes to wear hats (we're not freezing!)

Joseph at breakfast

Took this at breakfast this morning. He eats like this all the time. I've been meaning to take a picture of Joseph eating for a while now, and I finally did it. Does it happen to remind any one else of Mick Jagger?

Elizabeth is standing!

So, Elizabeth can stand on her own now. She's such a sweet baby. This was after church a few weeks ago. Rebekah was passing out the snacks. Don't they have such cute little baby hands!

New Family Book Club

Hey everyone. Rachel & Nettie were talking about reading a book together this month, and it's turning out to be bigger. I thought this would be a good place to announce the book for this month. We're going to be reading The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People by Stephen R. Covey for the month of February.

We're still getting all the glitches figured out about meeting times, communication possibilities and reading assignments. Please join in if your interested and we'll get some e-mails going about further ideas. If you have any suggestions or ideas, please e-mail!

Mom and Dad the Entertainers

Mom and I are working on a song and dance routine to "Two Lost Souls" from "[Dang] Yankees" (name sanitized by author). We will be auditioning it for the May performance of the RB Chorale of which we're members. Here is the song from the movie. We don't do the same choreography. Aunt Jo came up with her own for us.

Mom also just finished a "slumberette" with her sisters and mother. They had a lot of fun. Here is a picture from it.

We also just celebrated our 30th wedding anniversary. We went out to eat at Monterey Bay Canners at the Oceanside Harbor and went to see "Enchanted" at the Temeku Cinema in Temecula. We also went to Wal-Mart and bought us new clothes.

Love You All!!!
