Jacob our first born son; born on this day 31 years ago. A handsome man, wonderful husband and father; a brave soldier. We love you jacob and wish you a HAPPY HAPPY BIRTHDAY.

Funny things the kids say and do

We have been working with Sam with pooping on the toilet. I told him that when you toot that that is your poop talking saying, "let me out!" the other day he came down the stairs and said,"Mommy I need to go poop!" I asked if he was sure, because he had tryed 5 mins before with no success. He replied, " yea I have to go poop. my poop is talking! See." after which he got in a funny position and forced out a big toot.

Simeon is officially addicted to fishing. While praying for the Keller's drive up here he says, "and please bless Aunt Nettie and Uncle Travis's boat to get here safely."

Samuel said this while looking through a hole in the knee of his pants, " mommy I'm NAKED!" --- Well, aparently we really are "naked under our clothes.." like uncle Ezra says.

Jacob was mouthing the words to a song while Rebekah was singing it. Joseph said, "PAPA...you can't sing without saying the words, or YOU WILL DIE!"

The other day, after changing samuel's diaper, he got up before I could put his pants back on, with his fists at the ready he ran up to henry and said "oh yeah, oh yeah! wanna fight? wanna fight? oh wait! I have no pants"

During a science experiment the other day Rebekah says, Man, those people from China sure are creative! Where did that come from I asked. Well, China people made my shoes, they made these pieces (to our experiment), they make all kinds of neat stuff! Today she shows me a label on something and smiles...it's from China.

At church on Sunday the speaker asked, "Do you know your savior Jesus Christ?" Joseph answered with a loud, "YES!"

Momma, this book is so funny it will make you laugh all the way into your nickels....or something. -Rebekah while reading "A Light in the Attic"

The boys were downstairs in the basement helping Travis. They both came up running. Trayton said, "we're playing freeze tag, Mom!" And Tustin adds matter-of-factly while running away from Trayton, "ya, I'm freezing!" Haha, hes got his own idea of "freeze" tag!

We've been staying up late this summer. The other night we were watching a movie and I looked over on the arm of the chair I was sitting on. Hannah was standing resting her head there with her eyes closed like she was asleep. I asked if she was tired and she just stayed "asleep". So I picked her up and laid her down in bed. She never once opened her eyes because she was "sleeping."

Lizzie got in bed with me this morning after Jacob went to work. When we woke back up again a few hours later she rolls over and looks at me silently for a while when I said good morning. The she pops up and says with a huge smile, "Momma, I can do my nastics! (gymnastics) See!" And she scoots down and gets on her back and does a funky back bend. The she sits up and shows me how they are really supposed to put their hands. "I can do it, wanna see?" So she scoots down off the pillow again and does the best back bend ever! (for her)
