Saturday's Mission

Saturday's mission after choir practice was to find some ice sculptures in town. The trumpet sculpture has been up since before Thanksgiving. I'm not sure if I posted a picture of it though, so here it is.

City hall's ice sculpture

It's warmed up here to above zero for a little while. It's still cold though!

This picture is really blurry, but I had to add it. We were out around 12:00. See how low the sun is? We are so happy it's up above all the buildings now. Hooray!

Lizzie and the totem pole.

In front of City Hall. We drove by when they were making this one. It was pretty neat to watch them chopping away at the ice.

I love this one. It's so pretty at night when it is lit up.

The face looks a little funny since the snow is on it, but it still is neat.

So pretty Tiff! They just put up the ice sculptures here too. We even stopped by as they were sculpting the one in front of DQ. I was thinking of taking pictures of each of the kids in front of them, but like always, half of em look screwy from melting during our warm spell, about 2 days after they put em up. It happens every year!! I'll take some pictures though, to share you guys. We have a ton here.

The ones here last FOREVER. Occasionally I feel like its never going to warm up here. It's up to 12 degrees today though. Unseasonably warm, and I'm loving it! The kids played outside yesterday and were asking to do it again today. No school for us yesterday! Wejust played and enjoyed the sun and snow.
