Gimp

Everyone is posting so much lately! Hooray! I love seeing pictures of everyone.
Tim recently told me about a photo program called Gimp. I'm so excited to learn how to use it. the best part is that it's free and it's a good program. It's hard to figure out how to use, but I'm learning. Here's my first try with Elizabeth at selective coloring.

And here's the second go at it with a picture of Hannah. I love this picture of her! How cute is that smile? I tried making her eyes blue also, but the pink of the blanket was reflected in her eyes, so she looked really weird with pink and blue eyes. Thanks for sending the picture so I could do a little practice Mary.

Matt and Lisa's Valentine Wedding

Ezra, Rachel, Henrique (pronounced Henry), Samuel, Nancy and I were on hand for Matt Lyon's sealing to his eternal companion Lisa on Valentines Day 2009. The weather was great though a little chilly for southern California. Lisa's family is from Canyon Lake, CA up in Riverside county near Lake Elsinore and not too far from where we lived on Highway 74 before Nettie and Rachel showed up (i.e., were born).

Here are some pictures. This is Stacy Lyon and Rachel. You can see how nice and clear and sunny it is but it was windy and chilly. Stacy is wearing her Utah coat and Rachel is wearing Henry's coat.

Here is Nancy (Mom, Gramma) with her wonderful sister Molly (Matt's Mom), posing while waiting on the "balcony" for Matt and Lisa to come out of the temple's back door.

Here is a closeup of Lisa and Matt and Lisa together.

Here we are with the Lyon's (those who made the trip).

And here are Stacy and Becky enjoying the San Diego sun and looking on.

Happy Valentine's Day

Hope everyone has had a wonderful Valentine's Day! Travis & I were able to spend some time together, but we'll be finishing up tomorrow after church. Thanks Rachel for the questions. I couldn't resist and bought some Cold Stone Creamery cupcakes. Haven't tried them yet, but I'll let you know how they taste. Still trying to keep away from all those sweets, though.

I'm sure you noticed all the comments I posted today. I finally got the internet to work at a decent speed. I decided I needed to add a few pix, since I haven't in a while. Hope our cousin's wedding went well and you guys enjoyed yourselves. Wish I could've been there. I am planning on making a chocolate cheesecake. I've got all the ingredients, except the oreo crust. (you guys are such great enablers)

Anywho, here's our recent family:
Tracker's first big boy bath. He's got horns in his hair. So cute!! He's always sticking his tongue in weird ways. He really likes to rub them back and forth under his upper lip. It's cute.
These boys have such great smiles. It's been twice now that Daddy's gone for hugs and we couldn't resist taking pictures because the pose is so cute.

I've been posing like this for my P90X progress pix, so Trayton and Tustin wanted to do it too. Matching underwear and shirts too, don't know how that happened!

What can I say? CUTENESS.

Tracker is such a good smiler!! Here's the first "Daddy-carry-turn-and-smile" pic.

I think I should have turned the picture before I uploaded it. Anyway, this is Parker and Tracker. Parker loves coming to play at our house. During sacrament meetings his parents have to avoid us, because as soon as he spots us he begins to shout and laugh, which turns into screams and crying because he can't come and play.

3 Bugs in a rug.

Cuteness!!
We sure wish we were more a part of the activity down there, but so glad that we can share pictures and get-togethers through our blog. :)
I'll be posting some videos of our home soon, to follow Rachel's example. We just moved Tracker in w/his brothers, and put a desk where Tracker's crib used to be. But you'll have to wait till my camera's batteries get recharged. They always run out so fast.

More beach pictures

Ok, so I swear I am a picture nut! Mom told me to add one picture from our beach excursion the other day, so I added four. I took about 100 pictures while we were there, but some were fantastic. I think pictures come in a close second with my sewing obsession. I can't wait to learn how to manipulate pictures with that Gimp program that Tim told me to download. It's downloaded, and all I have to do is learn! Woohoo. Now who's going to teach me? hehe...

Here's one of Joseph and one of Elizabeth that I liked.

Isn't Mom so cute holding Simeon? I was a little frustrated that most of the pictures that I took of Mom and the kids didn't turn out like I wanted. My camera just isn't capable of doing what I want it to when I want it to. Oh well.

Here's the one that Mom asked me to post. Don't you just love California and the beach?

Re-My New Place!

This Picture of Henry and Samuel is so cute. They are watching the rain through our bedroom window, and saying, " Wow!" SO CUTE!
Samuel always has some kind of block or beaded necklace in his mouth.

block...

Beaded necklace...

This picture reminds me of Nettie's kids 100%. no shirt, laying down, cute, etc...

I hope this film is not to lengthy, and that you will be able to see it I am excited for you all to see my home!

I thought is was about time that I gave those of you who have not been to my home, a chance to feel like you have. I know that It makes it easier to feel like you are involved in someones life when you know where, and how they are living. I was so grateful that I had an opportunity to go and visit Nettie in Alaska. It made and makes me feel closer to her. When she talks about something her kids have done at home I can envision them doing it.

My New Place!

This video isn't that great, but it is pretty funny to see Henry's gramma jump when the dryer buzzes. I am going to go clean up my house and than take a better video for you all!

Misc. Cute Lowells

This is a picture of Hannah's 1st pig-tails which make her officially a Lowell girl. Also I bought Parley some new church clothes and he had to immediatly put them on and get his hair done. (we need to invest in better mousse)

Eliza's B-day

Because we had her b-day cake with family on the 7th this was her b-day pancake on the 5th. It/s chocolate chip pancakes with syrup and whipped cream.

The Ezra fingers!

Yea me, I did the 100th post!

Here is a picture of Simeon sucking the "Ezra fingers." He's turning into a finger sucker like the others, but I'm not going to complain since he is only waking up once around midnight and sleeps from around six to six other than that. He's such a great baby. It's wonderful to have him in our family.

Mom and I did a fun project a few days ago. I learned a technique in book binding called Japanese Stab binding. It if fun, easy, and quick. I brought Mom down to show her how to do one, and we got a little carried away. We made big books, grocery lists, and little notebooks for our purses. The next day we made one for each of the kids for sacrament meeting, and they turned out really cute. I did a fun one for Jacob also for his birthday. I had each of the kids draw a picture and Rebekah made up a story and illustrated it. I also added a few pages to put pictures on. It was a fun present for the kids to make, and they liked seeing their artwork in a book.

We stopped by the beach yesterday to feed the seagulls with the bread crusts that we've been saving for the last week. Of course the kids ended up getting soaked before we left, but they had such a fun time.
